Match report Lewdown recorded their first Evening League win of the season with a sensational victory at Tavistock. The hosts batted first and maintained an excellent run-rate throughout their innings with the mainstays being Harry Geering (68) and S. Luffman unfortunately dismissed off the last ball for 99. Lewdown got off to a terrific start with Matt Witcher and Antoni Weeks putting on a superb 118 for the first wicket until Antoni was out for 44 after christening his new bat. Lewdown kept up with the run-rate and won it in the final over with 5 balls remaining. Matt Witcher finished on 113 not out, a fantastic innings which included 5 sixes and 10 fours. A superb maiden century for his new club which was made all the more remarkable as the last 8-10 overs were completed in semi-darkness. Carl Weeks returned home a very satisfied captain.
