Launceston v Lewdown Cricket Club Tamar U11's on Fri 05 Jun 2009 at 10:30am
Lewdown Cricket Club Won by 4 runs

Match report Lewdown recorded only their second win in two years with a stunning victory over Launceston whose side included two cornwall players. Skipper James Weeks lost the toss and were asked to bat first,Pat Ewen and Adam Creasey getting of to a flyer with only losing 1 wicket and putting on 15 runs(which in u-11 cricket is very good as 1 wicket = -6 runs). Lewdown made an extremely good effort of 285 off their 20 overs. Daniel Butler took a wicket with the 3rd ball of the innings to start their defence off well. It looked like Launceston would cruise home with Mark Taskis (Cornwall bowler) at the crease. But great fielding from Pat Ewen who ran two batsmen out in three balls and reduced the score to 266. Then two great overs from James Weeks and Pat Ewen steered Lewdown home with an impressive win.
