Lewdown Cricket Club Blues U11's v Tavistock on Mon 10 May 2010 at 18.00
Lewdown Cricket Club Won by 2 runs

Match report In what can be described as a 'local derby' Lewdown Blues welcomed Tavistock U11's to the Recreation Field. Having lost the toss Lewdown batted first with Nick Smith and Adam Creasey taking the score to 26 without loss in their 5 overs. Wickets fell too regularly for the next 2 pairs and it was left to matt Owen and Morgan Scott to steady the ship, allowing a below par score of 232.

For the thirds match in a row, the pressure was on the bowlers and fielders to perform! Only 4 wides were bowled by the Lewdown team, which is a marvelous effort at this age. This and key wickets from callum Worth, Leon Horn, Adam Creasey and a fine final over from Nick Smith, resulted in Lewdown Blues beating illustrious neighbours Tavitck by 2 runs. Lewdowns fielding and bowling was far superior to that of the oppositions, and the team spirit was amazing.

Special mention to Charlotte Hughes who batted, bowled and fielded well!

2 wins from 3 games in their first season in the Palladium League.
