Having won the toss and a cold and blustery afternoon, Lewdown asked Cornwood to bat first. Ade Edmonds and Brenden Worth bowled well restricting the score and picking up wickets regularly. It was the introduction of Andy Vernon with his 'long hops' that really made a difference. He picked up 3 quick wickets with the aid of some good catching. Cornwood were bowled out for just 106 in just 33.1 overs.

The additional overs were added to the Lewdown innigs meaning that there were some 60 overs to score 107. Mark Martyn 15 and Will Hodgetts 23, made a solid start, but wickets started to fall regularly. Only Ade Edmonds with 22 able to hold an end, and when he was run out, the nnings faltered to 91 all out.
