Lewdown Cricket Club Lost Lewdown (8pts) lose by 52 runs

Match report Were we cheated? taking their first wicket in the first over with the score on zero. After shelling a catch to take Buckland two down early, Lewdown were then subjected to a number of refused appeals, one for a catch, and therefater a number of run outs which were errrmmm 'marginal'.
After Buckland finally lost two wickets by the uncontestable 'bowled' method, Lewdown rapidly removed 3 more wickets. reducing Buckalnd to 6 wickets down for their 223. probably 20-30 runs than the benchmark for the strip.
In response Lewdown batted very well. keeping well on the rate until the final 10 overs. still only chasing 7 an over at that point. A run out of Dean Summersby finally dropped Lewdown too far of the run rate. G.Brooks took some cheap wickets for Buckland as Lewdown tried to claw the rate back. The final pair of S.Cowley and Greame Horn dilligently secured Lewdown maximum batting points before Greame finally took on one straight ball too many to end the innings.
Lewdown lost by 52 runs. Batted well in the run chase, and with retrospect
were probably undone by some of the decisions in the first innings that did not go their way.
