Match report After a relatively poor display in the field during their latest Devon D Division fixture Lewdown found themselves chasing a total of 215 in which the Halberton and Sampford Peverall captain Chillcott made a fine 98 not out. Lewdown knew they had to fare better with the bat and hence got off to a fine start with an opening 57 partnership between Kris Harris (43) and Harry Geering (30. The excellent start enabled lewdown to bat sensibly and, although lost a few more wickets along the way ran out comfortable winners by 6 wickets. Notable performances with the bat included Mark Jordan (34), Rob Mutch (41 not out)and Carl Weeks (26 not out). Lewdown 17 pts, Halberton 7 pts. Lewdown's next league match is at home to Ipplepen.
